Starting over 40 years ago, Greg Unseth Painting and Exteriors began and still is a family-owned and operated business local to the Colorado Springs, CO area.
During this time we started primarily as a painting company and have later expanded into home exteriors providing stucco and stone siding solutions for both residential and commercial buildings.
Much has changed over the years in Colorado Springs, but our philosophy of customer service along with providing the best home exterior solutions has not. This has earned us the reputation of being the best painting and stucco contractor in El Paso County and possible in the State of Colorado.

As our business and family have grown we continue to meet the needs of our customers by expanding many of our offerings over the years. Trends happen, and that is why we decided to add stucco repair and stucco contracting to our list of offerings that also include stone siding for that extra curb appeal.

Greg has been a standard-bearer in the Colorado Springs home improvement industry for 35 years. Greg started in retail paint sales in the ’70s and quickly learned that his calling was to open his own home improvement company.
In 1981, Greg, with his wife Katherine, opened the doors to Greg Unseth Painting & Exteriors. For the past 35 years, Greg’s company has grown to be one of the biggest and most respected home improvement businesses in Southern Colorado and specifically Colorado Springs, CO. As Greg’s family has grown, he has grown the company as well, offering stucco over siding, stone accents, replacement windows and more.
Greg is proud to be the ultimate family man! As his business has grown, so has his family and their involvement with Greg Unseth Painting & Exteriors.
Greg is still fully involved in the day-to-day operations of his painting and stucco business. But, he loves spending time with his children and six grandchildren. ‘Papa’, as his grandchildren call him, has set a very high bar for the family business and has provided the vision, mission, and ethics it lives by today!
Ryan Unseth – Partner and CMO
Ryan has participated in the family business since he was a young boy. In elementary school and junior high, he would help pass out neighborhood flyers with his folks, and as he grew he began work as a painter, eventually running his own painting crew in high school and college.
Ryan realized from a young age that he would follow in the footsteps of his father with the family business, so in 1993 he set out to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.
For the next four years, Ryan studied in Greeley and helped pay for his education by selling, scheduling and painting small jobs at Greg Unseth Painting & Exteriors during summer and winter vacations. Upon graduation in 1997, Ryan returned home and took on the role of Operations Manager, and eventually head of the Sales and Marketing departments for his father’s company.
Today, Ryan is the Chief Marketing Officer for Greg Unseth Painting & Exteriors, as well as the family’s Northern Colorado branch, Denver Stucco & Stone.
Ryan enjoys this life with his amazing wife Tiffany, a 5th-grade school teacher and leads reading coordinator, and his 3 amazing children. On the weekends, you can be sure to find Ryan and his family taking in the splendor of the Colorado mountains.
He and his family love to go camping, dirt bike riding, fishing, and hunting…and if the Denver Broncos are playing, don’t even bother trying to get his attention!
